Welcome to the Website of the 7th European Mucosal Immunology Group meeting (EMIG)-2010 that will be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from 29 September – 2 October 2010 at the Royal Tropical Institute.
>> Download AnnouncementThis meeting is intended to bring together basic scientists and clinicians in the field of mucosal immunology with a particular focus on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and celiac disease. The topics of the meeting will cover the mucosal milieu, bacteria-host interactions, innate and adaptive immunity, balance and imbalance in the mucosal immune response and infectious diseases. There will be special emphasis on current and future therapeutic approaches. It is becoming clear that knowledge of the basic mechanisms pertaining the regulation of mucosal immune responses will shed light on complex disorders affecting mucosal tissues such as inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease and cancer and lead to new therapeutic approaches. With this meeting we hope to bring together leader scientists in the field of mucosal immunology for stimulating discussions on the advancements of the field. Young Investigator Travel Awards
To support Young Investigators and help them attend the conference, European Mucosal Immunology Group will grant Travel Awards of up to € 250.
The Travel Awards will be given to the presenting authors of outstanding submitted abstracts aged 35 or under and still in training. If you would like to have your abstract considered for a Travel Award send a formal request and supporting letter from your advisor (e.g. as PDF attachment) to
